Anaheim, CA— July 01st, 2009 GMP Laboratories, Inc. (“GMP Labs”) has announced that it has acquired a new liquid manufacturing plant at close of June 2009. GMP Labs, founded in 1991, has been seeking to expand its already 90,000 square foot nutraceutical manufacturing facility since fourth quarter 2008 to enhance their current liquid manufacturing capacity. Located in a separate facility only a few miles from GMP Labs’ headquarters in Anaheim, California, the liquid plant is already in operation.
Suhail Ishaq, President of GMP Labs, states, “We’ve long discussed how to add value for our clients and respond to their needs. Our clients, both prospective and existing, have requested that our focus on high quality for their tablets, capsules, and powders would extend to liquids and create a one-stop resource. That demand from our customer base coupled with strategic consideration on how to remain in an expansion phase during the less than ideal economic conditions, have driven this decision. The demand for liquid supplements continues to grow faster than the overall economy. To stay in tune with our clients’ ever-changing needs and become a trusted one-stop resource, we’ve focused on completing the platform of services our company offers.
“The addition of a liquid manufacturing plant is a significant step in GMP Lab’s growth strategy and further evidence of our commitment to the nutraceutical market, where we’ve proudly been in business for over 15 years. We founded GMP Labs on the prospect of following cGMPs before “GMP” was ever heard of. That’s how dedicated we are to quality, and we’re pleased to announce that we’ve expanded our capacity in liquids to over 1 million bottles a day.”
With the expansion of liquid supplement capacity, the combined capacity of GMP Labs increases its marketshare and positions the company as a leader in the industry.
